Its business activities include voice & data transmission services, broadband & internet access, corporate network and satellite television. Its major subsidiaries are Telmex and Telmex International. Carso Global Telecom through its subsidiary Telmex provides fixed telecommunication services such as local, long distance national and international voice services, data services and broadband access in Mexico. It also provides voice, data transmission, broadband & internet access, and other telecommunication services through its subsidiary Telmex International in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Equador, and Peru. The other subsidiaries are Empresasy Controles and Multimedia Corporation. Carso Global Telecom is solely a shareholder in its subsidiaries and depends on their operations. The subsidiaries operate independently.
