Electric Batteries, which are rechargeable, are available for Electric Bicycles, Scooters and Bikes. Currently, most of the E-bikes in the market are fitted with Lead Acid (PbA) batteries, though it is possible to use Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Nickel-cadmium (NiCd), Lithium-ion (Li-Ion) and Lithium Polymer (Li-Po) batteries instead of lead acid batteries. However, Li-poly batteries are now emerging as the latest technology, owing to their characteristics such as design flexibility, higher voltage.

E-bikes are becoming very common among people of all age groups.
