About Li-ion Battery for Digital Camera
A li-ion battery is a rechargeable battery with the highest electrochemical potential. A positive terminal, negative terminal, and an electrolyte between the terminals constitute the main parts of the battery. Li-ion moves from the anode (made up of lithium cobalt oxide) to the cathode (made up of carbon or graphite) during charging and vice versa during discharging. Some benefits of using li-ion batteries include higher current density, low self-discharge rates, and minimal maintenance costs. Li-ion batteries are widely used in consumer electronics. A li-ion battery is used as a power source in a digital camera. Most of the digital camera models run on li-ion battery because of its high compatibility and long power supply ability.
Technavio's analysts forecast the global li-ion battery market for digital cameras to decline at a CAGR of 11.8 percent over the period 2014-2019.
